Brian has been in the wealth management industry since 1998. His career began directly out of college with Lincoln Financial Advisors/Sagemark Consulting. As the business grew, Brian partnered with a good friend from college, Mike Sluhan. They wanted to create a niche firm where they could provide independent, unbiased advice to a select group of clients looking for holistic and comprehensive wealth management services. In 2008 they launched Genex where Brian heads up the Risk Management Department, Estate Planning Department, and Training Pillar at Genex Consulting.
In 2018, Brian and Mike joined forces with Chad Hemphill, owner of Panoptic Wealth Advocates. They worked together at Lincoln Financial Advisors/Sagemark Consulting and felt both firms could benefit from combining talent and resources. The integration should provide even more services and expertise to the Planning process and enhance the overall client experience.
Brian was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin and is proud to be a “cheese head!” His family later moved to Missouri where he finished high school at Rock Bridge, and went on to college at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. This is where he met his college sweetheart and now wife, Ellie. They were married in 2001 and live in Wildwood with their two boys, Noah and Max.
When he’s not working, you can find Brian coaching or enjoying some down time with family and friends at their cabin in Innsbrook. Brian also enjoys volunteering and has been a Board Member for a number of charities in town.
